System produces 2 different bottles at once

APF-5 This automatic reheat stretch blow molding machine from PET Technologies GmbH, Neunkirchen, Austria, has an eight-zone preform heating system. Its stretching rods are designed for thick-walled preforms used to make bottles. The machine has an outfeed system that orients the bottles for connection to the filling line and an air-recovery system for reuse of compressed air. In the U.S., PET Technologies is represented by Sopro Machinery.

What’s new? The ability to produce two different types of bottles at the same time. The APF-5 features two independent blowing units and a separate block of valves for each blowing station. This allows it to alternate between different types of bottles.

Benefits Flexibility. If users don’t need to make different types of bottles at one time, the machine can be used to produce just one kind of bottle.
