Jomar Corp. has acquired the assets of a moldmaking company and is bringing new capabilities to its U.S. headquarters in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
The acquisition will enable Jomar to offer in house mold and packaging designs, mold creation and total turnkey solutions for its injection blow molding machinery.
“We are very excited to have received board approval for this acquisition and expansion,” Jomar President Carlos Castro said. “Jomar has long offered tooling and turnkey services, but in the past, those have involved partnering with proven subcontractors, which we will continue to do. But going forward, we will have these capabilities in-house and will now be able to offer them to customers at significantly lower pricing.”
Process engineers will be involved at every stage of the development process, providing fully approved production-ready tooling; mold development in dedicated test machines; verification and inspection to the product drawing; and other benefits.
Jomar’s turnkey service includes project validation, tool design, tool manufacturing, testing, quality control and commissioning in the customer’s facility, as well as training in Jomar classrooms or on-site.
Jomar Corp. manufactures injection blow molding machinery for the pharmaceutical, health-care, personal-care, beauty, food, beverage and household products markets. It also distributes Automa by Magic continuous extrusion and accumulator head EBM models.
