The CT 4M high-speed pyrometer is appropriate for measuring material temperatures in fast processes, such as the blow molding of PET bottles.

CT 4M This high-speed pyrometer from Optris is appropriate for measuring material temperatures in fast processes, such as the blow molding of PET bottles. It measures within the spectral range of 2.2 micrometers to 6 micrometers, making it appropriate for detecting for material temperatures from 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 932 degrees Fahrenheit. While appropriate for use by machinery OEMs, it also can easily be retrofitted to existing equipment. The device’s remote interface is connected to the sensor head via a cable up to 49 feet long. The pyrometer can connect to a PC or Android mobile device; software or an app allow the user to adjust the pyrometer’s settings and to record data. An Ethernet interface and other serial interfaces are optionally available.

What’s new? The CT 4M, the fastest pyrometer in the company’s product line, with a detection time of 90 microseconds.

Benefits Accurate temperature measurement of materials used in challenging, fast-moving processes. Its compact sensor head, with a diameter of 14mm and a length of 28mm, makes it easy to install the device where space is at a premium, such as within a machine.
