The device is appropriate for precision molding applications in which guide pillars and bushings cannot align the mold halves closely enough to protect the mold cavity and cores from movement when the mold is closed and injection forces are added. The unit is laterally mounted on the mold; its short guide locks the mold halves so they can't move when subjected to transverse forces. The Z086 comes in five sizes.
