Plastics Extrusion Machinery LLC (PEM) of McPherson, Kan., has completed the acquisition of Advance Equipment Co. (AEC) of Tumwater, Wash. Both companies are manufacturers of downstream equipment for PVC extrusion; PEM offers large-diameter products, AEC makes small-diameter equipment.
"This is an exciting step forward for both PEM and AEC. AEC is one of the best in small-diameter, downstream equipment in the industry," said Nathan Spearman, PEM CEO. AEC is "a great strategic fit with our existing large-diameter, downstream extrusion business."
The combined product line includes vacuum tanks, cooling tanks, pullers, saws and belling machines, among other equipment. Both companies have served the American PVC plastics, profile and siding industries since 1978.
