ASPI 400 S.T. Soffiaggio Tecnica srl's new parison suction blow molding machine is suited for processing polyolefins and engineering resins and can accommodate molds that are larger than is typical for parison suction machines. It can make 2-D parts such as windshield washer fluid reservoirs, or 3-D automotive parts, such as air-intake ducts for turbocharged engines. Other applications include parts for appliances and technical parts. The ASPI 400 is available from the Monza, Italy, company through its U.S. distributor, Hollo Plastics Equipment.

What's new? The machine, which is new to the U.S. market, and several of its features. It has a new type of heating control that reduces the use of electricity during machine startup; the electric power to each heating zone is modulated to trim energy peaks. Also, the machine is set up for Industry 4.0; users can remotely monitor operating data through a new app. The user-friendly interface has a 21-inch touch screen.

Benefits Versatility and energy savings. The variable-speed pumps for the hydraulic system reduce energy consumption, noise and wear. Safety devices are integrated into the main control system; the status of each safety device is displayed in real time.
