Seco's new parting-off components are ideal for heat removal in high-speed machining and cutting applications.

150.10-JETI Seco's new parting-off components are ideal for heat removal in high-speed machining and cutting applications. They include high-speed blades and tool blocks that have  inlets that use the company's Jetstream Tooling technology to deliver high-pressure coolant to the optimum position, close to the cutting edge. The steel blades are available in 20mm and 25mm sizes, can accommodate insert widths from 2mm to 6mm, and are compatible with a variety of tool blocks. Seco's square-shank blocks are available in both metric and imperial sizes, with dimensions ranging from 10mm by 10mm to 32mm by 32mm.

What's New? The components, which were introduced earlier this year.

Benefits Fast heat removal, proper chip evacuation and high-quality part finishes. The thin blades reduce the amount of material wasted during the cutting and forming process. Because the blocks are small and require no external piping and connections, the blades can work in tight spaces, operating close to the spindle of the turning machine that feeds the raw material.
