MTR nozzles HRSflow has launched new nozzles as part of its Multitech line of hot runners, which have been designed for the production of a wide range of products, including caps and closures, medical parts and electronics.

What's new? Three nozzles: the MTR-T, MTR-M and MTR-S. The MTR-T is designed for the manufacture of large containers with wall thicknesses as small as 0.45mm and a flow length-to-wall thickness ratio of up to 350-to-one. With the nozzles, users can achieve injection pressures of nearly 32,000 pounds per square inch and melt throughputs up to 180 grams per second. The nozzle is suitable for use in in-mold labeling. The MTR-M and MTR-S are appropriate for thick-walled parts. Designed for use with polyesters, the MTR-M can be used in the manufacture of cosmetic packaging, household items and medical parts. The MTR-S is tailored to applications involving Surlyn, an ionomer from DuPont Co.

Benefits Versatility. While the nozzles address specific needs, they all exhibit resistance to wear. Overall, the Multitech line is especially suited to large numbers of cavities, short cycle times and rapid color changes.
