Delcam's latest version of its machining software can be used by mold makers.

PowerMill 2016 R2 Delcam's latest version of its machining software can be used by mold makers. The CAM program, which is compatible with two- to five-axis CNC machining, as well as six- and seven-axis robots, is commonly used in the aerospace, automotive and medical device industries.

What's new? A number of upgrades, including mirroring capability and enhanced simulations to test machining strategies. Based on one half of a mold, the program can create its mirror opposite — a capability that's especially useful when making tooling for the automotive and aerospace industries.

Benefits Ease of use, flexibility and efficiency. The program allows users to easily customize templates, and its interface is designed so that even novice operators can become proficient quickly. The program provides comprehensive verification of a project for machine-tool issues, such as collisions.
