SmartFlow Swap Valve Burger & Brown Engineering is now offering its machine valve in new materials. The valve, which can be installed on the supply side of the cooling circuit of most injection molding machines, offers one of two settings when open: It can supply cooling water for processing, or air to purge water from the mold, cooling lines, and supply and return manifolds.

What's new? More options in materials. The newest design uses glass-filled nylon end plates with an internal stainless steel disc.

Benefits Better dimensional stability and improved corrosion resistance. In addition, the new molded body valve provides 20 percent cost savings, compared to valves using other materials. The valves make mold changes easier by allowing operators to clear cooling water lines using shop air.
