FlyMarker mini This fourth-generation FlyMarker is the lightest and most cost-effective battery-operated marking option from Rocklin Manufacturing Co., Sioux City, Iowa. The mini can make marks on almost any material, including plastics and metal; it is ideal for marking on molds and tooling for traceability. Marking files can be programmed using the unit's software. The mini is currently available for a promotional price of $5,490 through Equipment Sales, a Rocklin subsidiary.
What's new? The device's size. Weighing just 6 pounds, the mini will be available for purchase starting this month. A prototype was shown for the first time in North America a few months ago at Fabtech in Chicago.
