PHC-S holders An alternative to shrink-fit holders, NT USA's highly accurate hydraulic chucks for holding cutting tools are available in BT and UTS shank styles, and in both inch and metric sizes. Special sizes can be customized. Pictured is a BT40 shank for a cutting tool with an 8mm diameter.
What's new? An array of new sizes and models. They include the CAT50, HSK100 and shanks for holding cutting tools with diameters of 3mm and 0.125 inch.
Benefits Stability, precision, greater flexibility and ease of use. The PHC-S holders provide 3-micron accuracy and can fit easily in narrow, deep spaces. Only a one-handed hex wrench is required to clamp them down. The oil chamber around the chucking sleeve absorbs cutting vibrations in a way that the solid metal body of shrink-fit holders cannot, which allows for consistently better accuracy and a smoother work surface. An electromagnetic rustproof coating ensures that this accuracy is maintained throughout the life of the holder. Additionally, because they use a hydraulic system, the holders do not pose the risk of burn injury that users of shrink-fit holders face.
