Pipe-in-pipe line Amut is offering an extrusion line for making pipe within pipe, incorporating PU foam insulation between the inner and outer pipes. With production rates of up to 16.4 feet per minute, the line makes outer pipes with diameters up to 6.4 inches and inner, carrier pipes with diameters up to 4.3 inches. The end product can be used in construction, plumbing, gas lines and underground wiring applications.

What's new? The ability to make the carrier and jacket pipes in one step. Amut developed the line in partnership with PU equipment supplier Saip Surl, Como, Italy.

Benefits Efficiency and flexibility. The line eliminates the multiple stages traditionally used to make this type of product, allowing one operator to run the machine. The line also can process a variety of materials to create rigid or flexible pipe and can be configured to incorporate two carrier pipes within the jacket pipe.
