StainlessSteel CX EOS' new powdered mold steel can be direct-metal-laser-sintered to manufacture injection molding tools that are used to make medical and rubberized parts, as well as products that use corrosive plastics. It is designed to be used with other EOS manufacturing equipment.

What's new? Availability of the material through EOS.

Benefits Durability, hardness and stability. The stainless steel is resistant to most corrosive plastics and diluted acids, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications. Because of this corrosion-resistance, the steel reduces tool wear and maintenance costs. Components made with the material can be easily machined and polished.
