Blown film line Reifenhauser's latest blown film line is designed to produce films with 11 layers. A 24-inch touch screen gives machine operators direct and easy access to process parameters. Optional energy-saving technology includes highly efficient electric motors and gear boxes and the insulation of cylinders and heater bands.
What's new? The ability to produce 11-layer film. The special die head allows for the individual adjustment of layer thicknesses, for optimum distribution of the raw materials. Also, the extruder screw has a new design that can handle most types of polyolefins and all raw materials for barrier layers without requiring modifications to the machine.
Benefits Time and cost savings because downstream laminating steps are unnecessary. Also, with the correct choice of an asymmetric, high-barrier film structure, film curling can be prevented without using a water bath. Additionally, simple product changeovers allow for economical production of small lots of specialty film.
