This 3-D printer is useful for prototyping and series production, and clean-room capabilities make it appropriate for manufacturing custom medical devices.
R1 Designed to handle high-performance plastics, such as polyether ether ketone and Sabic’s Ultem resin, this fused-layer 3-D printer from Kumovis is appropriate for both prototyping and series production; it’s also useful for manufacturing custom-made medical devices. The printers are available in the U.S., though Kumovis currentlycannot provide support to customers here.

What’s new? The printers, which have been available since summer.

Benefits The ability to process medical-grade resins. The printer is appropriate for use in a clean room, and it can be upgraded with a filter to create a clean-room environment within the build chamber.
