Berlin-based 3D printing software company 3YourMind announced it is partnering with Polish 3D printer manufacturer Sygnis S.A. and Polish youth-led NGO TeenCrunch in the “Tech Against Tanks” initiative to support humanitarian and defense efforts in Ukraine.
The humanitarian initiative calls for a database of 3D-printed medical, tactical and protective equipment that can be printed by professional additive production hubs and local makers across Poland, Germany, and Ukraine. It also asks for donations of money, machines and materials to produce the parts. Currently available designs include tourniquets, quadcopter mini drone bodies, molds for creating concrete barricade firing ports and fittings to create periscopes.
Sygnis filled a bus with 20 FDM 3D printers, printing materials, food and medical supplies that it delivered to a production facility in Lviv, Ukraine. 3YourMind will make available its system’s digital part inventory and distribute printable part files to its network of additive manufacturers and 3D makers.
