The Nils 480 can create complex geometries without support structures from a wide range of materials, including highly durable, elastic and temperature-resistant resins.

Nils 480 Sinterit’s latest industrial selective laser sintering (SLS) printer can create complex geometries without support structures from a wide range of materials, including highly durable, elastic and temperature-resistant resins. 3D Herndon distributes Sinterit printers in the U.S. for the Kraków, Poland, manufacturer.

What’s new? The Nils 480, which has a starting price of $59,990. Compared to Sinterit’s other printers, it has a bigger build volume, measuring 7.9 inches by 7.9 inches by 13 inches. This allows it to print large, industrial-grade parts, typically within 24 hours.

Benefits A fast return on investment (ROI) of 40 days. The printer’s high level of productivity and efficiency results in low per-part costs and an ROI that is much faster than competing SLS printers, the company said. Additionally, it provides optimal packing of prints via its auto-nesting software and produces ultra-high precision parts with smooth surfaces.
