Tip-Tite This newly designed drum dumper from Flexicon employs two hydraulic cylinders. The first raises and places the rim of a drum against a discharge cone; the second tips the drum to an angle of 45, 60 or 90 degrees. Once the hydraulic cylinder tips the drum, a pneumatically actuated slide gate valve opens and a conveyor volumetrically meters the material flowing out of the drum. The conveyor can transport bulk materials ranging in size from sub-micron powders to large pellets. An optional pneumatically actuated vibrator on the discharge cone promotes complete evacuation of non-free-flowing materials.

What's new? The incorporation of a discharge cone with Flexicon's Flexible Screw Conveyor. This configuration allows for the metering of materials as the Tip-Tite dumps out drums. Also, new to the Tip-Tite is its dust-free design.

Benefits Accurate, dust-free metering and transport of bulk materials. The Tip-Tite is available in an array of configurations that allow it to handle a range of materials without damaging them. For example, Flexicon offers a broad range of screws to handle both free-flowing and non-free-flowing materials, including products that might otherwise pack, cake or smear.
