KLN Toolmaster Forward Technology, in conjunction with its sister company KLN Ultraschall of Heppinheim, Germany, will show this fully automatic hot-plate plastic welding system based on the successful German-designed KLN Toolmaster Series. While parts are being welded at the front of the machine, the operator can load a second "tooling sandwich" — the stack of the upper and lower parts of the tool and the heat platen — onto a turntable at the rear of the machine. After the part is clamped into place and docked to all its connections, it begins to preheat. When it is time to change to the new tool, the operator pushes a button, and the existing tool unclamps and undocks, the turntable pivots 180 degrees, and the new, fully heated tooling sandwich is ready to go.

What's new? Manufacture, service and support of this machine in the U.S.

Benefits Faster tooling changeover. Once the button is pushed, the exchange occurs in about 90 seconds.
