Delta T chillers go Industry 4.0

VS Chiller This line of chillers from Delta T Systems features a variable-speed compressor that adjusts its speed to use only the power needed, allowing it to operate efficiently when running anywhere from 10 percent to 100 percent of rated capacity. This means that a 10-ton chiller operates as efficiently as a 1-ton chiller. The chillers are available in capacities ranging from 1 ton to 30 tons. The VS line is suited for extrusion, injection molding, blow molding and other types of plastics processing.

What's new? Industry 4.0 connectivity. The chillers feature integrated communication interfaces with a wide range of open protocols. Ethernet connectivity allows for the use of mobile interfaces, cloud connectivity and remote alarm monitoring. The controls can log more than 40 data points and have a USB connection to download data for analysis and preventive maintenance. At NPE2018, the chillers will be on display in the booth of Irwin Research and Development Inc., Yakima, Wash.
