Intensive Cooling Experience This air-ring system from Addex helps direct air to provide peak cooling efficiency of a bubble of extruded film. The aerodynamically designed elements create a high-velocity airstream without compromising bubble stability.

What's new? The addition of two enclosed, height-adjustable, stacked cooling elements to direct airflow. The new elements are installed flush to the die before the air ring. While an earlier iteration of the Intensive Cooling Experience has proved too powerful for most existing blown film lines, the new system — called the Height-Adjustable Twin-Stack, or HATS, system — can be used as a retrofit on most newer lines that have excess extruder and blower capacity; it is also suitable for some new OEM lines. With two primary locking points, the system has twice as many locking points as a traditional air-ring system. It is fully compatible with Addex's other air-ring products — the Automatic External Gauge Control, Digital Internal Bubble Cooling Control, Manual Gauge Control and Laminar Air Rings.

Benefits Versatility, higher throughputs and improved bubble stability. With the HATS feature, Addex guarantees throughput increases of 20 percent to 30 percent over conventional air rings. Its updated system extends the cooling range for blown film to accommodate a broad range of processes, blow-up ratios, thicknesses and materials, with fast, on-the-fly adjustments.  The system also allows faster startups and changeovers, reducing scrap.
