Nordson's new plasticizing package targets compounds with high levels of glass-fiber reinforcement.

Xaloy High Glass Filled Polymer System Nordson's new plasticizing package targets compounds with high levels of glass-fiber reinforcement. It is appropriate for injection molding a wide range of resins with filler content ranging from 10 percent to 60 percent.

What's new? The system. It includes nickel-based Xaloy X-8000 screw encapsulation, Xaloy X-800 barrel inlay, an application-specific valve and a Nordson Pulsar I mixing screw, which is shown. It made its debut last month at Fakuma.

Benefits Wear-resistance, high throughput and gentle mixing. With the system, injection molders can process high-strength parts that can be used in lieu of metal.
