High Lift Chip Trapper Exair's new system removes chips, swarf, shavings and other solids from used industrial liquids, such as hydraulic fluid from injection molding machines, or the coolant used in machining centers for mold making. Powered by compressed air, the system vacuums the dirty liquid into a drum, trapping the solids in a reusable filter bag. Turning a flow valve pumps the liquid back out. Because it can provide 15 feet of lift or 20 feet of horizontal suction, it is especially suited for use with cisterns, pits, underground storage tanks, machine sumps and bulk storage tanks, as well as elevated tanks. The system includes a stainless-steel two-way pump, directional flow valve, drum, locking lid, shut-off valve, 10-foot vacuum hose, 20-foot compressed air hose, two filter bags and a drum dolly. Available in capacities of 30, 55 and 110 gallons, prices start at $1,617.
What's new? The system, which has been available for a few months.
Benefits Fast and easy operation and the ability to recycle or extend the life of coolants. Because the High Lift Chip Trapper does not use electricity, it is quiet and safe to operate. It has a self-priming pump and can fill a 55-gallon drum in less than 85 seconds. Its automatic safety shutoff prevents spills and overfilling.
