Levelux Oil-Rite has upgraded its line of oil reservoirs and liquid level gauges, which have a wide variety of industrial applications. Reservoirs, also called oil cups, use gravity to dispense liquid onto moving parts, such as spindles and gears, and can dispense mold-release agents. Oil-Rite's liquid gauges are made of steel and show the level of fluid in the hydraulic reservoirs of equipment such as blow molding and injection molding machines.

What's new? Motion-activated LED lighting, which the company says is an industry first. An LED light comes on for a few seconds whenever it detects motion within 15 feet. The lighting unit, which measures 2 inches tall by 0.75 inch wide, is an integral part of the reservoir or gauge, and uses commonly available button batteries.

Benefits Greater visibility of the reservoir (pictured at left) or gauge (right). Especially in dimly lit areas, it draws the attention of operators and maintenance personnel, reducing the likelihood that machinery will run out of oil unnoticed and incur damage.
