4.0 Router This new router from Wittmann Battenfeld is the link between a company's computer network and an injection molding cell. All the equipment in the cell, including robots, flow controllers, temperature controllers and blenders, automatically senses the connection to the router. The router recognizes the auxiliary equipment and uploads the correct software onto the machine controller, creating a fully integrated, two-way programming connection.

What's new? U.S. availability. Introduced at the K show, the router recently became available in the U.S. market.

Benefits Ease of use and data security. The 4.0 Router makes it easy to integrate all the components of a work cell into one harmonious unit, and can reduce mold change times by making the molding machine the central control, eliminating the need to enter settings into each piece of equipment. It also reduces the possibility of data-entry errors when setting up the mold. For security, only authenticated Wittmann 4.0 devices can access the work cell.
