Schwing's new thermal fluidized-bed cleaning system removes contaminants, such as PVC and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), from tools and machine parts.

InnovaClean INB-HT Schwing's new thermal fluidized-bed cleaning system removes contaminants, such as PVC and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), from tools and machine parts. It is available in the U.S. through distributors listed on Schwing's website.

What's new? Suitability for applications involving high-temperature resins, such as liquid crystal polymers (LCP), polyetherimide and polyphenylene sulfide. The InnovaClean INB-HT uses a new heating system and regulator to achieve temperatures as high as 1,148 degrees Fahrenheit. It also has a new 10-inch touch screen controller.

Benefits High-speed cleaning. The compact system offers an environmentally friendly way to rid equipment of caked-on polymers. The company guarantees that its systems will reliably remove LCPs from metal parts. In all, the process requires just an hour or two to remove polymers from injection nozzle and die discs, and slightly longer times to remove plastics from spin nozzles, assembled pumps, hot-runner components and many other parts.
