NPAT Tekscan's Nip Pressure Alignment Tool can take real-time measurements to ensure proper registration of a film line before operations begin. Using pressure profile data from the instrument, an operator can accurately configure the line for production. Prices range from $19,000 to $32,000, depending on the size of the line and number of sensing elements. The illustration shows green bands of NPAT sensors between two rolls.

What's new? A new model, the NPAT 5705, designed for rolls up to 70 inches wide. Its sensing elements are closer together to provide more detailed data.
