AG 9 Erhardt+Leimer's newest actuating drive was designed for web guiding on unwinders, rewinders and pivoting frames. The drive, which is available in two versions depending on the force and speed needs of the application, offers ethernet networking with response times of 1 millisecond and an actuating speed of up to 60mm per second, which allow for optimal compensation of tumbling errors, even at high reel weights. Control frequencies up to 4 hertz are possible.
What's new? The drive, which is the first that the company has developed entirely in-house.
Benefits Consistency, flexibility and durability. Because the AG 9 has an integrated absolute encoder, it doesn't require a reference run when commissioned. The current position of the actuating drive is never lost, even during a power failure. It's equipped with a wear-free, brushless motor and is almost play-free in the axial direction because there is no gearbox.
