Extrusion burst plugs Used to protect extruders from over-pressurization, Zook's EBP series of burst plugs features a welded design; each plug consists of a threaded, tubular, stainless-steel body with a rupture disk welded onto the process end. The plug is mounted directly into the extruder through a pressure port or thermocouple well. Zook can supply the devices with any combination of dimensions, threading and body configurations. In-stock plugs are available with burst ratings of 1,000 pounds per square inch gauge (psig) to 15,000 psig, with higher pressures available on request.

What's new? The product line, which launched worldwide in February.

Benefits Better safety and performance than competing products that have soldered joints. The strong welded joints make the devices more resistant to high temperatures and eliminate joint failures.
