Beckhoff offering compact servo terminals

Feb. 27, 2017
Beckhoff's new servo terminals features One Cable Technology, which combines power and feedback signals to servo motors in one standard cable.

EL7201-9014 / EL7211-9014 Beckhoff's new series of servo terminals features Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality and One Cable Technology, which combines power and feedback signals to servo motors in one standard cable.  The EL7201-9014 can supply up to 2.8 amps of continuous power while the EL7211-9014 units go up to 4.5 amps of continuous power. They can be retrofitted and connected to many types of machines, including those found in plastics plants.

What's new? The servo terminals, which Beckhoff announced a couple months ago.

Benefits Compact size that integrates safety functionality. The two servo terminals are much smaller than traditional servo drives, with the EL7201-9014 measuring 12mm wide, and the EL7211-9014 24mm wide. Featuring STO, an industry-standard safety function, the terminals shut down any connected motors when they encounter an unsafe condition that could hurt workers or equipment.
