This anti-static system from Meech International is targeted at high-speed film rewinding in long-range applications.

Hyperion 971 IPS-30 This anti-static system from Meech International is suited for use in a variety of industries, including plastics and packaging. The extra-long-range pulsed ionizing bar is targeted at high-speed film rewinding and has an operating working distance of 200mm to 1,500mm, making it useful for long-range applications, such as working with large-diameter rewinders and turret winders. It automatically alerts the user when it needs to be cleaned and has an integral power supply.

What's new? The product, which made its U.S. debut last month at Pack Expo in Chicago.

Benefits Worker safety and product quality. Winding equipment can generate static charges that can shock workers, attract dust to the film surface and cause incorrect roll tension. Use of the ionizing bar eliminates static charges.
