Weima's latest shredder now features
WKS single-shaft shredder This new shredder series from Weima, Ilsfeld, Germany, can be operated as a stand-alone unit or as part of a recycling line. Its new material-feeding system features a swing ram that is guided on rollers. Working widths of 55, 71 and 86 inches are available. The rotor has a 19-inch diameter. Options include a V rotor for lumps and voluminous parts or an F rotor for fibers and films. The machine is available with a hydraulic drive or conventional power belt drive.
What's new? The WKS series.
Benefits Small footprint and ease of use and maintenance. The swing ram, which is used rather than a horizontal ram, makes the shredder more compact and easier to maintain. A low feeding point of 7 feet, 2 inches means the hopper can be filled by hand, conveyor or forklift. An inspection flap lets an operator clear obstructions or change cutting knives without entering the hopper. A beefed-up frame and sidewalls reduce vibration and wear. Both drives feature power-saving features, and the machines experience fewer power spikes.
