Coperion adds to stable of UG pelletizers

The series is suitable for the pelletizing of most thermoplastics.

UG 750W Coperion has added a new model to its underwater pelletizer series. The series, which has hourly throughputs ranging from about 8 tons to more than 130 tons, depending on the material, is suitable for the pelletizing of most thermoplastics, and is particularly adept at handling sticky products and polyolefins.

What's new? The size. The UG 750W's throughput of about 66 to 77 tons per hour puts it in the middle of two existing models, the UG 750 and UG 1000. Its die plate corresponds to the much larger UG 1000, which has a maximum throughput of more than 100 tons per hour, but features a newly developed steel.

Benefits Greater resistance to abrasion and corrosion, thanks to the new steel, which Coperion says will give the machine a longer operating life.
