Lindner washing system saves energy
Rafter Lindner's latest washing system is designed to clean highly contaminated shredded plastics such as bottles, film and other packaging. In the system's first phase, a screw moves the material under water, allowing heavy contaminants to fall off. In the second step, a paddled rotor in a stationary drum removes particles that are adhering to the plastic. The clean plastic is discharged via a feedscrew for downstream processing. With throughputs from about 3,300 pounds to 5,500 pounds per hour, the Rafter washing system can match the capacity of recycling lines; a frequency converter can be used to adapt the throughput to the line.
What's new? The washing system.
Benefits Economical operation due to an energy-optimized drive system.
