Data management software improved

EDM 4.8 Sightline Systems' enterprise data manager (EDM) 4.8 software improves capacity planning, forecasting and security by allowing users to capture, monitor and visualize data streams. It allows plastics manufacturers to better understand and analyze what is happening during production processes at any given point in time.

What's new? Released in July, the software has several new features: ForSight for forecasting; utilization reports for monitoring the performance of network systems; Indicator View to manage alerts; and Sightline ACE for security and cyber defense.

Benefits By collecting data from a host of machines and devices and analyzing it in real time, EDM 4.8 identifies anomalies in production processes and generates alerts for issues that require attention, including when preventive maintenance is required. It offers fully automated forecasting; the ability to view reports and alerts in both text and visual formats; and continuous security monitoring to protect against cyber security threats. EDM 4.8 is also integrated with Sightline Systems' Clairvor data analysis tool to provide more thorough analysis of the IT environment.
