Krüss GmbH has upgraded its MSA, which measures surface free energy and contact angles on solid pretreated and coated surfaces.

Mobile Surface Analyzer (MSA) Krüss GmbH, Hamburg, Germany, has upgraded its MSA, which measures surface free energy and contact angles on solid pretreated and coated surfaces. First introduced about 18 months ago, it offers a quality control analytical measurement alternative to the less accurate Dyne test.

What's new? New Advance-Drop Shape software Version 1.5 that provides one-click measurement and displays results in less than a second. It also reveals the polar and nonpolar component of a solid's surface tension.

Benefits Fast and fully automated operations. The one-click measurement provides information on surface wettability for aqueous or organic liquids, which is important if the part is to be coated. It is intuitive and easier to use, so human errors are reduced.
