Novatec has expanded its line of downstream extrusion equipment with the addition of combination mini puller-cutters.

NPC-Mini Novatec has expanded its line of downstream extrusion equipment with the addition of combination mini puller-cutters. Like its bigger units, the minis have 7-inch touch screens and servo drives. The pullers have traction belt sizes of 2 inches by 12 inches, 3 inches by 20 inches and 4 inches by 20 inches. Puller speeds range from 0.8 to 400 feet per minute. The 1-inch rotary knife can be used in either continuous mode or on-demand mode using an encoder, optical sensor or timer. The units can be used to pull parts, such as hoses and tubes, from an extruder and cut them to length.

What's new? The new, smaller puller-cutters, which began shipping a few weeks ago.

Benefits Ability of cutters to cut small sections, with cross-sections of 1 inch or less. The NPC-Minis also provide versatility: The pullers that go with the cutters can handle parts with cross sections of up to 4 inches, which they can feed into a large cutter or coiler.
