3DT has upgraded its MultiDyne corona treatment system, which alters the molecular structure of polymer parts and raises the surface energy for better bonding of paint, inks, adhesives and coatings.

MultiDyne 3DT has upgraded its MultiDyne corona treatment system, which alters the molecular structure of polymer parts and raises the surface energy for better bonding of paint, inks, adhesives and coatings. MultiDyne can be used as a standalone unit or incorporated into production lines, and provides uniform treatment of three-dimensional parts, especially parts with complex shapes.

What's new? The design of the treating head. Previously molded in one piece from epoxy, it is now assembled from multiple components.

Benefits Increased product life and cost savings. The new treating head is more robust. If parts in the head fail, they can be replaced inexpensively, instead of replacing the entire head, as was necessary previously.
