Simco-Ion's new narrow web vacuum system can be used in a number of plastics processing applications.

V-Force 30 Simco-Ion's new narrow web vacuum system can be used in a number of plastics processing applications. Using static neutralization to clean film on narrow web machinery, it can clean the web after unwinding, prior to thermoforming; vacuum the web prior to winding after extrusion; and clean material before coating. It includes a noncontact cleaning hood with active static-neutralizing bars and a self-contained air-control system (ACS) with isolated particle collection in an all-in-one cabinet.

What's new? The model, which was introduced recently.

Benefits Easy installation, quiet performance and powerful cleaning on any area of open web on most major narrow web presses and other narrow web machinery, including equipment running thin films. With its nonregenerative blower design, the ACS operates without costly compressed air. Overall, the V-Force 30 has a flexible design with a small footprint. Its clamshell hood design and optimized air-management chamber, which balances a high-velocity, air-agitation curtain with dual vacuum slots, allows it to clean efficiently and thoroughly. The hood also incorporates shockless static bars to break the bonds between charged particles and the running web at a speed of up to 2,000 feet per minute.
