Discovery differential scanning calorimeters Known by their initials, the Discovery DSCs from TA Instruments measure temperatures and heat flows associated with thermal transitions in a material. They are commonly used for quality control, as well as to verify materials and formulations of a wide range of materials. Among other things, the devices can measure melting, crystallinity, product stability, heat capacity and phase changes.

What's new? The hardware platform, which debuted in March in Atlanta at the Pittcon conference for laboratory science. For greater functionality and ease of use, they feature a new app-style touch screen.

Benefits Better data, thanks to improved resolution, sensitivity and repeatability. The Discovery DSCs have been designed for ease of use, and they feature a reliable auto-sampler with flexible programming of experiments and automated calibration and verification routines.
