Model 408 Acrison's new weigh feeders are suited to compounding, extrusion and other types of plastics processing, and can be used for continuous or batch feeding. The weighing system consists of a high-resolution, frictionless lever network. As product exits the metering mechanism, the ratiometric digital weighing system senses the loss of weight and transmits the data to the controller for immediate feed rate modulation. Three sizes are available, with throughputs starting at 5 pounds per hour and ranging up to 1,600 pounds per hour.

What's new? The line's small footprint, compared to Acrison's other offerings. The Model 408 weigh feeders measure only 18 inches by 28 inches. 

Benefits Accurate and dependable feeding of dry solids. Also, the cost-effective units are compact. The weigh feeders, which are permanently calibrated and require no adjustment, can handle temperatures between negative-20 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit. They are guaranteed for five years.
