Shear-line U-Pack International has upgraded its Shear-line die-cutting machines. The roller press die cutters are suitable for use with a wide variety of materials, including vacuum-formed products up to 12 inches deep, foam sheets, food packaging, medical products and all rigid and semi-flexible plastics. Several models are available, with maximum cutting widths ranging from 22 inches to 112 inches. The SLVT 80 for vacuum-formed products is shown.
What's new? Numerous upgrades to all models in the line for 2016. The Mitsubishi color touch-screen HMI now includes safety circuit diagnostics, batch counting and production control aids. The press section has been redesigned for easier maintenance and heavier-duty performance.
Benefits Speed and faster maintenance. The machine is up to 50 percent faster than similar flatbed die-cutting machines. The process to change the sleeve that protects the roller now takes less than 20 minutes.
