Electronic option enhances feeders

Coperion K-Tron is offering a new option for its loss-in-weight feeders.

EPC Coperion K-Tron is offering a new option for its loss-in-weight feeders. It compensates for pressure buildup that can occur in closed feeding systems and impair weighing accuracy. The electronic pressure compensation (EPC) system can be installed on most of the company's gravimetric feeders. The modular design incorporates sensors and electronics made to interact smoothly with the company's KCM feeder control system.

What's new? The use of electronic pressure compensation, as opposed to traditional mechanical pressure compensation, which is sensitive to structural factors and machine alignment, making it less reliable.

Benefits Improved accuracy and reliability. The software allows for highly accurate feeding, even in systems with pressure fluctuations. Also, the EPC system is less expensive than alternative systems and is easier to install.
