PSI-Polymer Systems' line of continuous backflush screen changers is designed for heavy-duty applications such as recycling.

CSC/BF PSI-Polymer Systems' line of continuous backflush screen changers is designed for heavy-duty applications such as recycling. The system divides the material being processed into two melt streams, each with two filtration cavities. When upstream pressure rises due to a high level of contaminants, a piston automatically moves to the backflush position, allowing pressure to push contaminants off the dirty screen pack. In this way, three streams of material are always moving through the screen changer. Screen diameters range from 4.58 inches to 9.07 inches. The CSC-148BF with four 148mm backflushable filters is shown.

What's new? Numerous upgrades to the entire line. They include a design change, so purged material exits underneath the screen changer, and a change to the placement of the controls.

Benefits Maximum melt-filtration capabilities without any need for downtime. With its upgrades, the screen changer is now safer, since purged material no longer exits through the front of the screen, and simpler to use, as its controls are easier to access. In addition, it has a unique, robust design that ensures users peace of mind and clog-free operation over a long product lifespan. It is guaranteed against leaks for five years.
