LC Linear ALPS' new LC Linear single-head leak tester is intended to detect leaks in empty plastic bottles with 100 percent accuracy. The tester, which features a color touch-screen interface, a multistrand conveyor with dual-level rails, a gate cylinder and a stop cylinder, operates continuously at a fixed speed. It can fit containers between about 1 inch and 8 inches long, 1 to 4.75 inches wide and 1.5 to 13.75 inches high.
What's new? The tester, which was released in November.
Benefits Sensitive, precise testing. Depending upon the container size, volume and required testing rate, the device can detect holes with diameters as small as 0.004 inch. The machine's maximum inspection speeds can reach 1,500 bottles per hour.
