Vacuum receivers get cyclonic design

Novatec's newest receivers are made from scratch-resistant stainless steel.

Filterless vacuum receivers Novatec's newest receivers are made from scratch-resistant stainless steel. Their material inlet is offset from the centerline of the receiver so the material slides around the inside of the receiver instead of blasting straight into the opposite wall of the receiver. In addition, the units have a check valve that redirects and slows the material velocity. The VR-FL models are available in capacities of 0.33-3 cubic feet and have a removable lid; the VRH-FL models are available in capacities of 0.33-2 cubic feet and have a hinged lid with built-in sequencing valve. All units include a 2-year warranty.

What's new? The cyclonic design of the VR-FL and VRH-FL models, which Novatec introduced in October. The units use cyclonic force to separate the material from the airflow.

Benefits Less maintenance. The units have no filters to clean or replace. Their tangential inlets and gasketed check valves also minimize both potential degradation of material, as well as harm to the receiver walls.  In addition, the VRH-FL units have a hinged lid that locks in the upright position, so they can be cleaned out more safely. Each VRH-FL unit also includes an on-and-off switch, so operators don't have to walk to a central control panel to turn them off.
