TOP 3000 S Elmet's high-resolution liquid-injection molding dispensing system allows precise control over the dispensing of additives and dyes for liquid silicone rubber (LSR) processing. It can be used with both 20-liter and 200-liter drums. The company says the device, which is controlled by a touch-screen interface, has precision up to 640,000 increments per liter.
What's new? An optional third flow meter to dose colors or additives, which Elmet debuted at Fakuma. Elmet claims the ability to dose three components at once, using three flow meters, is new for the market. The use of the new flow meter takes advantage of controller upgrades the company made last year.
Benefits The ability to precisely dose colors. Working with a maximum discharge rate of about 85 ounces a minute, with up to 10 percent colorant added, the system is designed so that less than 1 percent of the second component is left over when the first component is processed.
