SR160 Starrett's new surface-roughness tester can perform complex analysis for a variety of applications, including incoming inspections, quality-control testing before final shipment and process control on the production line. The company says the device meets the requirements of a large number of fields, including the automotive and aerospace industries and general manufacturing. 

What's new? Released in late summer, the SR160 was introduced to the market at Pack Expo.

Benefits Rugged design, ease of use and accurate results. By providing information about the surface finish of a piece, the device can help determine when to change out tools as they wear. The small, compact device is also easy to position to take readings from different angles or at different heights.
