LRS-18 Series The new sensor from Alliance Sensors Group, a division of H.G. Schaevitz LLC, is the latest in its linear variable inductive transducer (LVIT) series. Sensors in the series are designed for dimension- or position-measuring applications in various industrial and commercial settings, such as automotive testing, robotic arms and packaging equipment, where the sensing element cannot be attached to the object being measured. Operating from a variety of DC voltages, the sensors are available with a choice of four analog outputs and a proprietary feature that allows users to precisely calibrate the units.

What's new? Spring-loaded measuring capabilities and smaller size. Compared to existing technologies with similar electrical specifications, which are 9 inches long, the LRS-18 is only 4 inches long.

Benefits Excellent longevity and stroke-to-length ratio. With its contactless operation, the LRS-18 can last longer than sensors that must make contact to provide measurements. It also fits in spaces other sensors might not.
